In the US, abortion is legal. I feel fortunate to live in such a country. The Colorado laws are as follows in bold-
There's no gestational limit in Colorado. Although outpatient abortion is only available up to 26 weeks, with Planned Parenthood only offering up to almost 19 weeks. Medically required pregnancy termination is available for late term pregnancies.
That is one of the more liberal laws I have seen regarding abortion. My opinion is similar to that of the law, which allows you to get one to a certain extent, and after that requires doctors to order it for you. As the outpatient abortion time limit is 6 months, more or less, you will almost definitely know that you are pregnant before that time is up.
A few years ago, I remember that Cory Gardner was running for some political office on an anti abortion platform. I knew what an abortion was, having grown up in a liberal, prochoice family. I just remember that an opposing politician had a commercial pointing out that Gardner had stated that he was going to put doctors in jail for providing abortions, even to rape and incest patients, than rapists. I didn't know what rape and incest were, and when I asked, I was horrified. Even if abortion had to be outlawed to some people, it should always be availible to minors and sexual abuse victims, as having to carry those babies to term could ruin their life and future.
