I believe that at the end of the day, the abortion argument largely boils down to whether one believes in the right to life; everyone deserves the chance to live. At first glance, it makes a lot of sense! Why would one ever deprive another of the chance to live? That's when quality of life comes into play. Is it our responsibility, when we deprive an impoverished or teenage mother of contraception, when the quality of life for the new human is horrendous? Or does it not really matter, because it would've been worse if we had allowed the mother to use contraception?
Anyways, while reading these two staunchly different, opinionated pieces, this is what I took away as the most fundamental difference between the two viewpoints.
