I truly believe that food plays an important role in creating connections between people of different cultures and ethnicities. We often underestimate it, but it can be a tool for one to present his culture to another person and appreciate it together.

That's a great point, Rina! Sitting down over a meal and appreciating our universal tastes is a great way to build bridges and create connections. I once read an article that compared food to being a "cultural ambassador."

Ugh, I love food. I often say that the first thing I ask a person is what they like to eat, and that's so true. As a Chinese American, I love Chinese food and if you like it too, then we're (most of the time) automatically friends. Cuisine is definitely a huge part of culture.
