Unbeknownst to many Americans, they are not alone in conflicts regarding standing up or not standing up when the national anthem is played.
Last year, in India, a controversial Supreme Court ruling decided that the national anthem must be played before every film in theaters and the audience must stand while it's played. In the recent past, a disabled man in a wheelchair was assaulted for not standing. Do you view this ruling as enforcing national respect or discouraging it?
