The U.S. civilian workforce includes 8 million unauthorized immigrants, accounting for 5% of those who were working or were unemployed and looking for work.
Six states account for 59% of unauthorized immigrants: California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Illinois.

I am surprised that Mexicans are no longer the majority of U.S. unauthorized immigrants, especially since many of them come to the United States. It seems reasonable that California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois account for half of the unauthorized immigrant population since those states are the most populated.
