Yessss, you read the title right: The Prestige.
U.S. and Russia, White and Black, Religion X and Religion Y, Israel and Palestine, or Pakistan and India are some examples.
Today marks the 28th beginning of "the Kashmir Day." 28 years of silence and oppression.
5th February(Kashmir Day):
Pakistan: Kashmir belongs to us. They are our brothers.....
India: Kashmir belongs to us. Pakistan is already accused of Terrorism.....
The day finishes and everything settles back.
It's been decades the Kashmiris are being treated badly. Pakistan claims in 1947 partition, Kashmir was supposed to be a part of Muslim Community (which actually is true) but India has its own reasons. It's 2018, nearly 70 years and still no solution.
I've always supported India in educational and economical growth, but it's my request to the next Indian generation to view this issue from both sides instead of taking pride in killing the innocent Kashmiris. Exactly what prestige are we talking about here when we can provide humans their human rights.
Kashmir doesn't belong to India nor does it belong to Pakistan. Kashmir belongs to Kashmiris (the residents of Kashmir). If Indian Government and Pakistani Government has issues between them, Kashmir shouldn't face the consequences. The sad part is even UN isn't doing anything. If we'll not resolve this issue right now, soon it will become the worst of the century just like the Syrian Crisis.
Note: This purpose of this article is to aware people of a serious issue, not to go against Pakistan or India. Kashmir is an Independent state. It shouldn't be treated like a land over which two countries have been fighting while the world sees the show.
