It's often true that when people from another country examine a foreign conflict, we reduce it to the facts: numbers (of people killed, of people living in settlements) and facts in addition to judgments. We need to understand that actual people are being affected on a day to day basis by decisions and policies of the past and present when developing resolutions and policies for the future.
