    What are some stereotypes that exist in your community and country?

    I live in California, and some stereotypes would probably be that Republicans are corrupt and greedy, that if you are not leaning left, then you are somehow fascist and hate minorities, and that the south is barren and filled with nonintellectuals. Another stereotype that I think goes beyond California is the assumption that if you are liberal, then you are by default Democrat, and if you are conservative, then you are by default Republican (conveniently ignoring blue-dog democrats).

    I would say that some of the stereotypes that exist in my area (Massachusetts) are that Republicans are rich and selfish, LGBT individuals are all left-wing, and all Southerners are right-wing and unintelligent. These are all untrue however in Massachusetts you will find many people who believe these things!
