Women in Spain were considered to need to fulfill a traditional role in society through the end of Francoist Spain (1975), and while their position has improved today with the return of democracy, a macho/machismo culture seems to remain. However, Spain is ranked 15th on the Gender Inequality Index, 34.9% of Parliament is women, and 53.4% of the labor force is female.

Hey Tuhin! I think it's really interesting you mention feminism in geopolitics. Another cause that feminists often champion is sustainability and environmentalism. In fact I encourage you (or others) to check out the video I've linked below. It's paramount that women are empowered because they can be stakeholders for a more sustainable future!
Ali, that was an excellent video. You are absolutely correct as well, as women do compose half of the world's population, they have a large hand in many industries or ways of life that will impact climate change.
