I wanted to bring up the discussion of the idea of a universal basic again. While it has been discussed on this forum before, as more and more European countries start moving towards a universal basic income, Americans too have begun to more seriously discuss a universal basic income.

There has been lots of (anecdotal) evidence of the success of universal basic incomes. Switzerland and the UK are already moving towards the implementation of a UBI. At the same time, however, Finland has reported that universal basic incomes have led to less productivity in the workforce. Therefore, I don't think one can make an accurate conclusion on the effects of a UBI just yet.
What do you think?
I agree that it's difficult to make accurate conclusions - many of the studies and usages of a UBI have been in small populations.
