Arguably the most prominent youth-led movement in US history was the anti-Vietnam War activism, and recently, pundits/news outlets have been making comparisons between this movement and the student-organized, revitalized gun control movement in the United States (including the March 14 walkouts, the March for Our Lives, etc.).
In what ways do you think these movements are similar or different? What do you think students can learn from past youth-led activism, both from successes and failures? Why do you think these two movements have been largely student-organized (more than other topics)?
